Plus sex ed classes are not usually teaching abstinence so much. They tend to mention it, but they teach, "You shouldn't have sex until you are mature, but when you do, and you will, here is what you should know..." If everyone is expecting you to have sex, chances are you will. If you are raised around other young people and families that believe in abstinence, maybe you will have a better chance at keeping your virginity.Bag Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885412195900280096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-11280219311498197702009-01-02T11:40:00.000+07:002009-01-02T11:40:00.000+07:00It does very much depend on the private school. When I first believed, I stopped drinking period. Then, when I was 21, I limited myself to 3 drinks. Never anymore. Eventually, I matured and now have no set limit. Sex is the same thing. I've only had sex with my wife, but she wasn't my wife our first time. I now know why people get STDs. It's hard to stop having sex once you have had it. The best reason to wait, aside from religous ones, is just that. Teenagers are not mature enough to deal with it. Hell, from what I've seen around campus, most college kids aren't either. It's not the schools job to teach sex. It's the PARENTS' job. Too bad there are so many shitty parents out there. Hard core conservatives and hard core liberals both want to teach sex the wrong way.olgreydog7https://www.blogger.com/profile/02014200609560174083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-81467415341145928192009-01-01T05:37:00.000+07:002009-01-01T05:37:00.000+07:00Nice clip of monkeys doing it, Anonymous, much obl...Nice clip of monkeys doing it, Anonymous, much obliged!

I say contraception is great and prevents diseases, but the best method is abstinence, you can't argue with that. But as far as schools go, they should teach it all. I grew up in liberal land so I got educated about everything in middle school. And, Rayanne, it depends on the private school...Nixonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12419569519734310093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-35772247102255164132008-12-31T22:58:00.000+07:002008-12-31T22:58:00.000+07:00It all boils down to mammals/animal channel dude.It all boils down to mammals/animal channel dude.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-89671825007893077032008-12-31T22:12:00.000+07:002008-12-31T22:12:00.000+07:00So what you're saying is... you're a virgin! So what you're saying is... you're a virgin!KAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03090582170365523716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-37017245470406532412008-12-31T21:37:00.000+07:002008-12-31T21:37:00.000+07:00I was one of those pledge kids and fit exactly int...I was one of those pledge kids and fit exactly into the stats they published. My mom took me to volunteer at the crisis pregnancy center in town to teach me the real life consequences of sex. I think the pledge is good for kids in conjunction with education; what harm does it do to them to wait to have sex. The pledge in conjunction with my fear of getting pregnant made me keep my V card until I was ready to be responsible with it.Carolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08169199821366810718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-40651754441538795502008-12-31T20:50:00.000+07:002008-12-31T20:50:00.000+07:00uh bag...? you wanna blame this on public schools...uh bag...? you wanna blame this on public schools?? i'm a product of a k-8 catholic education, and i can tell you from personal experience that most of the good catholic kids that graduated from st. winifred's, lost it well before the "publics" did.

and guess why? because we were fed a bunch of horseshit about our bodies and sexuality, while the kids in the public schools were taught about std's, contraception and hiv/aids.

yeah, blame it on the public schools. please.cathcatzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12481346053206593844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-60746309571196737782008-12-31T20:23:00.000+07:002008-12-31T20:23:00.000+07:00Most kids start out saying "I'll never do drugs, I...Most kids start out saying "I'll never do drugs, I'll never smoke, I'll never drink, I'll never have sex without marriage, etc" but slowly society beats them down. It is difficult to go against the flow especially if you are in public schools. If your reasoning for taking a pledge is to avoid pregnancy and STD, well, it is the best way, but good intentions...There are better reasons for staying pure, and there are those who do keep their promises. Why is it that the weaker always want to drag others down with them?Bag Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885412195900280096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-210575587086373532.post-41740135281716897532008-12-31T20:12:00.000+07:002008-12-31T20:12:00.000+07:00"Might not?"
