The Blog Gestapo Threatens CJ!

This is ridiculous. Some unit I've never heard of at the Pentagon has threatened to shutdown CJ's blog A Soldier's Perspective. CJ is active duty and apparently these weenies at the Pentagon didn't get the memo that many senior brass actually *gasp* support the concept of milblogs. The charges are here. One of them includes "showing disrespect" to military officers...because enlisted guys and gals never, ever say anything bad about their officers (gimme a f'n break). I could see an OPSEC violation being a faux pas, but talking bad about members of congress?!? C'mon.

I liked the cease and desist lolcat he used in his response. I wonder if the peeps in the Pentagon will find it funny...

Haha, it's incredible that a pro war blog gets a cease and desist letter and I was allowed to roam free! Free as fuck after being quoted in the Stars & Stripes! How's that for a bureaucracy?

I have personally heard flag officers say that they are thankful for milblogs, regardless of the political leanings.

Get real!! AND -- I love the fact that he got the info late on a Friday. Of course!! First off, suprise that anyone in the Gov. was working late on a Fri. and second that they were even working on a Fri. -- but maybe with the time difference it was really Thurs.

No offense, of course.

Granted, it doesn't matter WHAT you say until someone complains -- and there's always one, ain't there? Which is what is so irritating in our perfect politically correct world -- oh, I'm offended, you said something about short people and it hurt me.
It's just like TV, people, turn it off! And esp. on a blog, write in your comments and TELL the blogger! Geez.
