Michael Steele Wins RNC Chairman

Watching his victory speech on Fox News right now. He's talking about making the GOP more desirable to all Americans (e.g. winning in Northeastern states). Steele is fiscally conservative but socially moderate, so hopefully he'll provide some much needed leadership once the Democrats fuck everything up and they're voted out of office. Not that I want America to fail under Obama's leadership, but it seems inevitable at this point.

All Hail Steele, and His Glorious Regime!

I think it's cool that the RNC has a black leader, and I think he was the best choice, although that's probably not saying a ton. But socially moderate? Dude compared stem cell research to Nazi experiments on Jews in WW2.

Even still, ever so cautiously optimistic.

I thought you had to say that kind of shit to register Republican?

He has big earlobes, I'm concerned about that. Sounds good on radio, however.

I followed Steele when he was in Maryland's government. Good guy, with a good head on his shoulders. IMO, this is a good choice!

Maybe now that he's in power he can drop the cheesy rhetoric about stem cells, we'll see. He's a promising leader and media savvy, and with the GOP in the doghouse with America, it's a good change of pace.

Stem cell research is another cause celeb, like climate change and electric cars. With only a year of controversy scientists figured out how to get stem cells from skin cells. Another red herring from the left.

I don't know enough about Steele to form an opinion but I do agree the right needs new leadership to deal with the Pelosi/Obama duo.
