I'm a bit late ringing in Barbie's big 5-0, but this seems pretty apt. Recall that younger men tend to seek the older ladies when the economy goes to shit, so don't go too hard on Barbie's Neil Diamond collection of LPs.

Are you saying that men would like to have a slow hand? I dunno. We're talking younger men with older women. Women 45+ are rarin' to go, and they expect performance, hence the search for cubs.
For the women it is a sexual imperative, but as they are no longer fertile, the men are foregoing their natural biological impulse to seek young stuff.

Right-o on the men. The cougars don't have that issue, however, and the men they're looking for aren't having refractory issues, either.
So when you say, "I think it's more about not having to play "beat the clock" and stamina to rival Secretariat than the praise and laud of baggin' a young healthy cub," that's not really relevant to our discussion of cougars and their cubs, right?
