DC Elites To Get Reality Show To Further Their Self-Importance

Seeing how the President has embraced the celebrity scene of yuk-yuk jokes on late night TV and commemorating himself in coronation-style ceremonies, it's only fitting that the "look-at-me!" culture trickles down to the parasite class in DC. While they aren't busy figuring out new and improved ways to fuck over and fuck up the rest of America, DC lawmakers are going to be filmed in a new series of reality shows. Politico explains:

To be sure, the nation's capital certainly has some of the key ingredients of a hit realty series. Insiders note that "great personalities and an interesting story" are essential to successful reality show. By that measure, Washington is a perfect fit.

And in a town with as many egos as Washington, finding a cast might not be such an impossible task. After all, participating in a realty show has one big upside: exposure.
Your tax dollars at work.

This would flop in less than one season. I don't think any elected official would carry on the way that people do on "reality" TV shows for fear of loosing constituants.

You shouldn't be showing a picture of the President with his National Security Adviser.

I hope Obama enjoys this summer. the next one is going to be a disaster. Domestically with double digit unemployment and inflation, the election prospects of Democrats will require intimidation by ACORN and the UAW.

Internationally, the North Koreans may have sold off one of their nukes plus delivery system to Iran. Obama has been a disaster beyond compare in foreign policy. He has achieved so many failures (for a list of the top ten, you can visit: http://firstconservative.com/blog/political-humor/foreign-policy-house-of-cards )that He has endangered all of western civilization.

MAS1916,

But at least we will get to watch all of it on reality TV!

There's rumors running around that Real World DC will be here next. The production company is hiring assistants already.

See, there's always jobs in D.C.!

MAS1916...I, too, enjoy ignoring reality by twisting it to what I think is happening. I also love trying to back up my case by pointing to websites that, by sheer coincidence, aligns with my point o' view, and God knows I love revisionist history, now that the Right-wing has shown me how it's done (Step One: Ignore the facts. Step two: Always refer to step one), but I lack the intellectual dishonesty necessary to write with such hyperbole, and perhaps even hypocrisy, about President Obama's failure with foreign policy. I'd love to understand this concept where some (like you) believe that, nothing that occurred between Jan 2001 and Jan 21, 2009 matters, or could possibly have any impact on what's happening today. If I could grasp that twisted logic, then maybe I could understand why you'd call not being able to resolve in 5 months, the debacle that was the foreign policy of the previous administration, a failure.

Unfortunately, God blessed me with the ability to think clearly and critically without the capacity for partisan duplicity and a love of country more than a love of political party. Even Cheney admitted that his administration left the next one a leaking bag of shit, which they watched but ignored (General Motors). If he's being honest...finally...why can't your arguments be as well?
